Overview

Established in 2004, the Department of Radiodiagnosis has grown into a modern, fully equipped imaging and interventional radiology centre, providing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services. The department is equipped with advanced imaging modalities including Digital X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Colour Doppler Ultrasound, Mammography, 128-Slice CT, 1.5 Tesla MRI, and a state-of-the-art Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) suite with facilities for Neuro-Interventional Radiology.

Committed to excellence in patient care, academics, and research, the department offers a wide spectrum of imaging services supported by experienced faculty and skilled technical personnel. The department caters to both routine and specialized diagnostic needs while providing advanced image-guided interventional procedures.The MD Radiodiagnosis postgraduate programme, started in 2011, currently admits three residents annually, contributing to the training of future radiologists. The department also conducts allied health science programmes, including the Diploma in Radiological Technology (DRT) and degree courses in Imaging Technology (MIT), with a total annual intake of 30 students.

Further strengthening its academic profile, the department offers a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, admitting two fellows each year, providing advanced training in minimally invasive image-guided therapies.

With a strong foundation in clinical excellence, education, and innovation, the Department of Radiodiagnosis continues to serve as a leading centre for diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology in the region.
