Overview

The department has state-of-the-art facilities for training of Undergraduate and Postgraduate students in Community Medicine and also activities in its vast field practice area. The department has the experience of handling various research projects funded by National and International agencies in the field of public health. The department has also played a key role in the evaluation of National Health Programs by assisting central and state governments. It has been actively involved in providing Comprehensive Primary health Care at Rural Health Training Center (RHTC), Kallara and Urban Health Training Center (UHTC), Attingal.Through various public, private partnership projects the department has handled various research projects funded by national and international agencies in the field of public health.

It offers hands-on training for the design, data management, analysis and report writing to the researchers in varied disciplines.
