Kallara Rural Health Training Centre is a primary health centre of Sree Gokulam Medical College & Research foundation, established in 2005 and is situated in the heart of Kallara. It covers about 36000 population of Kallara Panchayath and also give services to adjacent panchayats- Pangode, Pulimath and Vamanapuram. It has 25 beds with 24X7 casualty service, ICU, pharmacy, lab facilities and ambulance services. We have facilities to stabilise the emergency patients before referring to the tertiary centre. It functions as a primary health centre for the public at an affordable way and also gives training to the students of medical, nursing and paramedical streams. We are conducting outreach health programs in tribal areas, anganwadis, schools and residential associations. We also conduct house visits and provide palliative care for bedridden patients. We have outreach OP services 3 days per week by the interns for the detection of lifestyle diseases among the public at free of cost.
