The Department of General Surgery is geared to offer teaching programs for both undergraduates as well as postgraduate students. The department is well equipped to handle all kinds of general surgical and basic laparoscopic work including gastrointestinal surgery, surgery of the breast and endocrine glands, and various soft tissue surgical procedures. The teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates is our main academic activity. In addition to that, we undertake research activities, conduct various CMEs and surgical workshops.
