Medical Gastroenterology

The Department of Medical Gastroenterology at Sree Gokulam Medical College, established in May 2006, is now equipped with a team of four dedicated consultants. The department offers comprehensive services, including full-time functioning endoscopy services, inpatient care, and outpatient services. This setup ensures a holistic approach to digestive disorders, covering diagnostics, treatment, and ongoing patient management addressing a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders.
In addition to our core services, we have specialized clinics that provide targeted care for specific gastrointestinal issues, ensuring a refined and focused approach to the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as IBD, liver diseases, pancreatic disorders, and colorectal cancers. This multi-faceted approach enhances the department's capability to address a diverse range of gastroenterological concerns with expertise and precision.
Clinical trials and FDA inspection: Within the first two years, it has developed into a centre for research and we had 5 large multi centric global trials. This centre was evaluated by the FDA from 12/6/2010 to 12/10/2010 ( https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/nda/2011/022000 Orig1s005.pdf) and there were no adverse remarks.
