Observed every 8th March, International Women’s Day celebrates women’s achievements and lobbies for accelerated gender parity. It also calls for an end to all forms of violence against women and women’s rights to participate in decision-making in all areas of life.
The theme for 2021 is ‘Women in leadership roles: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world’. While the world has progressed in every single domain, no country is yet to achieve gender equality.
