Earth Day is observed on 22nd April everywhere to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Due to the pressures of overconsumption, population growth and technology, our biophysical environment is becoming degraded, sometimes permanently. Together, we have to work to conserve natural resources, repair damage and reverse trends of climate change.
With the theme for this year being ‘Restore our Earth’, the focus is on restoring the world’s ecosystem using natural processes, emerging green technologies and innovative thinking.
